Bridal or Family Portrait Created On The Edge of The Grand Canyon

Sunday, August 15th 2010

Like most business owners, I have dreams. Some are big, and some are small. Lately I have had some really big ones. So big, I’m compelled to write about them as I feel it may help them to become a reality.

One dream I’ve been having over and over lately is of a bridal or family portrait. Mostly, the dream is of a bridal portrait. The thought of accomplishing this dream as a family portrait didn’t really hit home until just as I was writing this blog post.

The dream is as follows.

I pack my camera bags and hop on a plane with my client(s) headed for Phoenix, Arizona. A second flight is caught which takes us North to Flagstaff. We rent a car in Flagstaff and stay the night,. We wake few hours before sunrise the next morning, jump in the rented car and head for the edge of The Grand Canyon.

Can you see it?

A bride on the edge of The Grand Canyon at sunrise? A 20 foot cathedral veil blowing over the edge. A bridal portrait to end all bridal portraits.

Can you imagine the same scenario, but this time done as a family portrait? A family portrait of three generations captured on the edge of The Grand Canyon at sunrise. Heavenly. A family heirloom. A priceless treasure.

The more I think about it, the more I feel it really wouldn’t be that hard to do. An airline flight per person to Phoenix from Houston wouldn’t be that bad. A hotel room in Flagstaff and some Mc Donald’s would hurt the pocket book that much either.

Please contact me if you’re interested in helping me make this dream become a reality for you and me.

In fact, I think I should plan a trip to do this with my own family. Not a bad idea.
