I took this portrait of my son Gavin one year to the day before his last day of daycare. Soon, he will be in the whirlwind of kindergarten. Things will begin to change as he becomes more and more susceptible to influence from his new friends and peers. He will begin to grow and develop out of my control.
The days ahead are going to be so important to me, and I want to remember, capture and freeze this time in his life.
To add some additional importance to this portrait, the blocks used to create a frame and focal point were my blocks as a child.
Gavin has a twin sister, Katie. You can expect some images of her to appear on the blog soon.
