One thing I love about being a professional photographer is the access I sometimes receive and the amazing people I get to meet. I found myself shooting at The Pepsi Super Bowl Half Time Rehearsal Party last Thursday. By the end of the shoot I had seen the half time show performed three times in it’s entirety under a non-disclosure agreement.
During the first hour I was photographing Dak Prescott in a “meet and greet” line. During that time I got to talk with Dak and establish a small report during the short brakes, well at least as much of a report as one can establish being just another photographer. But I can say by the end of the first part of the shoot he at least knew me by name.
Later that night, during the reception, Dak approached me with his hand out. He was actually walking up to me to shake my hand! Of course, I took his hand giving the firmest handshake I could and thanked him.
Dak replied, “Not a problem.” and walked right past me to shake the hand of Dan Marino who was right behind me.
That story will never get old for me.
