On Location Headshots Houston | Team & Executive Photos

Mobile Corporate Headshot Studio

Need on location headshots in Houston? Here’s the real problem: your team needs professional headshots, but nobody has time to fight traffic and sit in a studio waiting room.

It’s Monday. You’ve been tasked with “getting headshots handled.” Sales wants updates. Leadership is booked solid. Someone’s traveling tomorrow.

You don’t need a photographer. You need a process.

Clear pricing. Online scheduling. No back-and-forth. You pick the time. We show up an hour early, build the studio in your conference room, and run fast 5–7 minute micro-sessions.

You look organized. Your team looks consistent. And you end up smelling like roses.

The studio comes to you. And whoever sent you here — whether it was your boss, your HR team, or a colleague who raved about the experience — you’ll find out exactly what kind of client you are and what to expect.

On-location headshots succeed or fail on consistency. This grid is the proof—dozens of different faces, photographed with one visual standard, so the company looks like one organization instead of a collection of unrelated portraits.

Solaris Studios specializes in on location headshots for Houston businesses. I bring a complete mobile studio to your office—typically setting up in your conference room. Four decades of experience. Consistent lighting. Fast micro-sessions designed for busy professionals.

What Are On-Location Headshots?

On-location headshots are professional portraits created at your place of business rather than in a traditional studio. I bring professional lighting, backdrops, and equipment to you—transforming a conference room into a working studio.

Collage of professional headshots and portraits for a law firm, including individual headshots, environmental portraits, and a composite group photo with the Walker & Taylor PLLC logo.
When a firm takes photography seriously, it stops being “headshots” and becomes infrastructure. This set is built as one system—individual portraits, a few editorial hero images, and a team composite—so the brand stays coherent no matter where the images appear.

Professional on location headshots in Houston include:

  • Studio lighting that flatters faces and controls shadows
  • High-quality background options (seamless paper, environmental, or branded)
  • Posing and expression coaching (so people look confident, not stiff)
  • Immediate review on iPad during each micro-session
  • Light professional retouching for a clean, consistent look
  • Delivery typically within 3–5 business days

The result: headshots that match your brand—without wrecking the day.

Why Choose On-Location Headshots in Houston?

Here’s what changes when the photographer comes to you:

Save Time (Lots of It)

A studio visit can take 2–3 hours per person once you count travel, parking, waiting, and the session. For a team of ten, that’s 20–30 hours of lost productivity.

Collage of corporate headshots and a composite group portrait, with the Merrill logo and an office-style background behind the group.
This is a modern solution to an old problem: keep the headshots consistent, then build a team portrait that isn’t hostage to scheduling or space. The AI background isn’t the point—it’s the stage—while the real craft is matching light and perspective so the composite feels credible, current, and brand-clean.

With on-location sessions, each person needs about 5–7 minutes. They walk down the hall, get photographed, and return to work. Total disruption: under ten minutes per person.

Maintain Consistency

When headshots are taken on different days, in different studios, by different photographers… your website starts to look like a collage. Different lighting. Different backgrounds. Different vibes.

Large grid of over 50 professional headshots photographed in a consistent style, with a company logo in the corner.
Volume is easy. Consistency is the craft. This many headshots only works when every variable is controlled—light, lensing, height, and color—so the final set reads as one unified visual standard, not fifty separate photo days.

On-location headshots keep your entire team on one visual standard. And if you need matching individual headshots in a controlled studio environment, see In-Studio Headshots (where Collaborative Retouching is available).

Control the Environment

I typically set up in your conference room and arrive about an hour early to build the studio. Want clean seamless backgrounds? Environmental portraits that show your space? We design it around what you need and where the images will live.

Collage of on-location executive portraits at sunset in a rail yard, plus a group portrait of the team, with the VLS Environmental Solutions logo.
One shoot, multiple deliverables—without changing the visual DNA. We used the same location and the same sunset light to create bespoke, story-driven headshots, then pulled back for a classic team portrait that still feels connected to the series. That’s the advantage of designing a session, not just taking pictures.

If your office doesn’t have enough space, in-studio sessions remain an excellent option.

Reduce Scheduling Chaos

Coordinating individual studio visits for a team is a logistical mess. People forget. They book the wrong day. Styles drift. Results don’t match.

Large grid of over 80 employee headshots photographed in a consistent style, with the TG Natural Resources logo.
The real test of an on-location program isn’t day one—it’s day three. This set was built over multiple days, yet it reads as one continuous session because the technical variables are locked: light, lens, height, color, and retouching discipline. That’s how you scale consistency.

One organized on-location session can handle your entire team efficiently—so your website updates happen in days, not months.

Who Benefits From On-Location Sessions?

These are the situations where on-location headshots make the most sense:

Corporate Teams and Companies

Grid of professional headshots photographed on a downtown Houston rooftop with buildings in the background, with a company logo in the corner.
This is on-location headshots with intention: I balance strobe against the existing light so the subject stays polished while Houston stays present. The skyline becomes context, not clutter—and every frame still holds to one consistent standard.

From five-person startups to thirty-person departments, teams use on-location sessions for:

  • Website team pages
  • LinkedIn profile updates
  • Internal directories
  • Marketing materials
  • Annual report photography

Executive Teams

Leadership teams value efficiency. We photograph executives on-location in a boardroom or office setting—authoritative, approachable portraits that match the brand. If you also need a leadership team image, see Executive Group Photos.

Law Firms and Financial Services

Collage of attorney headshots and office portraits, including two women in business attire and the Karen S. Gerstner & Associates, P.C. law firm branding.
A firm’s photography should read like one voice. This set balances polished headshots with office-based portraits that add context—so the images feel credible, current, and unmistakably connected to the brand behind the name.

When billable hours matter, sending people off-site is expensive. On-location sessions keep disruption minimal and consistency high.

Medical Practices and Healthcare

Collage of professional headshots of women in business attire and a team group portrait in an office setting, with the New Hope Home Care Services logo.
This is what consistency looks like when the goal is trust. Every headshot is built to the same visual standard, then brought together in a group portrait that feels cohesive—so the brand reads as professional, caring, and organized at first glance.

Provider schedules are tight. We photograph the whole practice—physicians, staff, and leadership—without canceling appointments.

The On-Location Process

Here’s what happens when you book on location headshots in Houston:

Step 1: Book (and Confirm the Plan)

Book online at your convenience. If you want to talk through team flow, space, background options, or a multi-day plan, schedule a consultation.

Step 2: Setup (About 1 Hour)

I arrive about an hour before the first person is photographed. I bring the lighting, backdrops, and equipment. You provide the room; I build the studio.

Step 3: Photography (5–7 Minutes Per Person)

Each person gets coaching and multiple options. Most professionals need 5–7 minutes to get a headshot they’re proud to use.

Step 4: Immediate Image Review

An iPad connected to the camera lets each person review images on the spot. If we need another expression or a quick tweak, we fix it immediately.

Step 5: Retouching + Delivery (3–5 Business Days)

I select the best 3 headshots of each person for light professional retouching. Final images are delivered digitally within 3–5 business days.

Included Upgrade: Executive Portrait or Environmental Editorial

Every on-location team headshot session includes one bespoke executive image—either an Executive Portrait or a story-forward Environmental Editorial—crafted to feel commissioned, not simply scheduled.

This upgrade is built into every package price. You don’t have to decide at booking—we’ll choose the direction during the session once we see the space and the light.

Executive Portrait: A clean, classic leadership portrait designed for websites, proposals, annual reports, press, and client-facing profiles.

Bespoke environmental executive portrait in a law-library setting, included with on-location team headshot sessions.
This is the “included upgrade” in practice: one image designed to feel commissioned, not simply scheduled. I used the environment as narrative—letting the setting support credibility—while the light stays controlled enough to keep it unmistakably a portrait first.

Environmental Editorial: A story-forward portrait made in the subject’s environment—boardroom, desk, operations center—more context, more narrative, editorial energy.

Two professionals reviewing printed documents in an operations control room with multiple data monitors, while another person works at a workstation.
This is what “operations” actually looks like: information, judgment, and coordination. I frame images like this to show decision-making as a visible process—people interpreting data in real time, not posing in front of screens.

Whichever direction you choose, the goal is the same: one commissioned-feeling hero image that elevates the entire session.

  • 2 Group Portraits: +$695

Planning Your Session

Successful on location headshots require minimal planning:

  • One week before: Confirm headcount, choose background color, send wardrobe guidelines to team
  • The day before: Clear photography space, notify team of schedule, confirm parking for photographer
  • Session day: Designate a point person to manage flow, ensure space is ready

I handle the rest—lighting, setup, photography, and delivery.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much do on-location headshots cost in Houston?

Pricing is simple: $1,195 for the first 5 team members, then $95 for each additional person. Examples: 10 people = $1,670 | 20 people = $2,620. Not sure of your final headcount? Book the $1,195 base to reserve your date, and we’ll confirm the final count and invoice the balance on shoot day. Check availability and book online.

How long does an on-location session take?

Setup takes about one hour. Photography time depends on team size—typically 5–7 minutes per person. A team of ten is often completed in about 2 hours plus setup. For large teams, we can schedule multiple sessions across days.

What space do we need for on-location headshots?

A conference room at least 25 feet long works perfectly. I bring all lighting and backdrop equipment. You just need the space and a nearby electrical outlet.

Can we use our office as the background?

Yes. Environmental headshots using your office create context and credibility. We can also use seamless paper backdrops in various colors if you prefer a clean studio look.

How quickly will we receive our photos?

Final images are delivered typically within 3–5 business days. On-location sessions do not include Collaborative Retouching (that service is available only for In-Studio Headshots).

What if someone does not like their photo?

Each person reviews their images immediately on the iPad. If someone isn’t happy, we keep shooting until they have options they’re comfortable using—right then and there.

For larger groups, we build in time for retakes during the session. In the rare case someone remains unsatisfied after seeing their final images, they can return for a reshoot within 14 days at 50% off, or exchange poses from their original session for a nominal fee.

The bottom line: nobody leaves with a headshot they don’t want to use.
