The idealization of a portrait is a matter of taste to the individual subject. Authentic, Light or Idealized?

This is the primary reason I prefer to alter my client’s portrait/s with them present.  When the portrait is created in the studio, I always invite the subject to be a part of the entire creative process, for one portrait, until it’s completion.

This is the best time for the artist to learn the client’s “limits of image manipulation”, as opposed to the client having to contact the studio with a Revision Request after the’ve left the studio.  

Trying to communicate an alteration instruction to a portrait artist is’t always an easy task, let alone convenient.

I’ll complete one portrait to your satisfaction before you leave the studio, and is delivered the same business day.  All additional purchased portraits are then idealized with the same instructions.
