Oil and gas photography allows me to tell powerful stories through visuals. This sunrise image, captured for the 2025 TG Natural Resources Safety Report, shows a drilling site near Carthage, Texas, where a gas well is actively reaching a depth of 25,000 feet.
I arrived on site just before sunrise and captured this panoramic view about 15 minutes after the sun came up. I created the final image by stitching together six high-resolution photos. The soft morning light and the illuminated rig highlight the scale of the operation and the dedication of the crew working around the clock.

Behind the Shot: Capturing the Energy Industry in Motion
This photo documents more than just equipment. It shows the commitment of a team that works every day, through all conditions, to keep operations moving forward. Crews on this site work day and night, seven days a week. As a photographer, I aim to highlight that kind of effort and intensity in every image I deliver.
Why Oil and Gas Photography Matters
Companies in the energy industry rely on strong visuals to support safety reports, investor presentations, and corporate marketing. Professional oil and gas photography helps teams share their story in a way that feels honest and impactful. For TGNR, this image offered a compelling look at the scale and structure of the work they do.
